Monday 16 January

Stuart and I will have another chat later this afternoon, to finalise plans for Wednesday. Land League is entered in Market Rasen, and we will talk over the entry, and decide wether he takes his chance. Also entered on the card is Pine Warbler, and his participation in the handicap hurdle will also be on the agenda. It will be good to get Land League out on the track - he shows up nicely at home, and will certainly be winning races in the future - the only slight down side is the recent rain, as it looks as though LL would appreciate a sounder surface. There are a few shares left in him, so if you would like to go to Market Rasen as an owner on Wednesday, then please get in touch nickbrownracing@gmail.com or 07909 518902. Due to a previous engagement with a few pints and a rugby match on Saturday I didn't get over to Fences Farm, but the girls report all to be well, and I will be over tomorrow to see them before heading off to look at a horse with Stuart. One thing that is on the cards this week is a visit from the vet who will cast his eye over Sneaking Budges leg. Hopefully he will give the go-ahead to go a bit quicker with him - when he does it should not take too long to get him back on track, as he is doing plenty of cantering and looks really well.
