Tuesday 18 April
A glorious morning at Fences Farm this morning, sun was shining and the scenery and the horses looked great! 'Dolly Daihatsu' on the other hand looked less well!! New tyres please!! Stuart spoke to Edward Arkell the Clerk Of The Course in Fontwell, who says that it is looking like he will get Good ground on Friday - which will mean that Land League will head there for their meeting on Friday. Stuart off to Ludlow this afternoon with Elusive Cowboy, who runs in their 7.00pm. The quick ground will suit him far better than the soft he encountered on hurdling debut. Kayla ran a great race in Market Rasen yesterday, after a long break which was enforced upn her when she fractured a hind leg in winning her last race in Uttoxeter. Ground yesterday was a little too soft for her, and she will be having a heap of fun through the summer. Tricky Silence did 2 canters this morning, and we will be looking for races for him in about 2 weeks. Sales this week, and we will be trying to exercise the bidding finger! We are on the hunt for a few new horses to go to war with next season - I do like the summer transfer window - always exciting to go to war with some new blood in the autumn!
