Off up to Doncaster tomorrow, the annual Spring Sale starts on Tuesday with the Store section. These are unraced 3/4 yr olds that will be the raw material that owners and trainers re-stock with for the forthcoming seasons. There are some nice pedigrees on show. After the stores are sold, they then sell the Horses In Training and Point To Pointers. The Horses In Training are jump and flat horses that are looking for new homes. They have either got to the top of their handicap, or are not up to the level that their owners require. The Irish Point To Pointers come from the pointing field. We are hoping to be buying again - this time for a larger syndicate - but as ever, we will only raise our hands to the right level for the right horse!! This sale has a real end of term feel about it, and everybody is usually in good spirits, and there can be some great evenings to be had after the days business is done!! I will obviously be tucked up in my bed.........
