Friday 2 June

Another hot and sunny day at the Sales yesterday - this time in Cheltenham, where they were selling form horses and Irish Point To Pointers. It was a good day for some vendors, but others found it hard work. The quick ground that has been prevalent in Ireland for the last month, meant that there was enough of a doubt about the soundness of a few, but there were still a few that made plenty of money! I watched lots 24 and 55 with considerable interest. Lot 24 was called Everybodys Talking, and was 6th, in Courtown in April in a race that our own Classic Ben was fifth in. He made £55,000. Also offered for sale was lot 55 Moonshine Bay, who had finished one place in front of Classic Ben in fourth. He made a staggering £120,000. So it is looks like the shrewd judges really like the form of this race - as the winner had already sold for £140,000, the second for £50,000, and now the 4th for £120,000 and the sixth for £55,000. I believe Classic Ben is huge value, as he is available in 10 shares priced at just £2,500, plus monthly costs. Shares are selling already - so get in touch if you would like more info, or would like to come and see him at Stuart Edmunds' Fences Farm near Milton Keynes. 07909 518902 (nickbrownracing@gmail.com).
