Tuesday 27 June

A morning tour yesterday. Started at Fences Farm - good to see Kayla back on the gallops with Viking Ridge, who should make his debut for the Stuart in the next couple of weeks. Land League, Cloonacool and Blackbird went for a trot around the farm - all three look in fine fettle. Cloonacool reported to be in particularly good form - bucking and kicking - good to hear! Apasionado is still in and on good terms with himself. The new stables are coming on well, along with a new roof for a few of the boxes in the back yard. From what Stuart tells me - they will be needed - with plenty of new equine faces to look forward to seeing over the course of the next few months. Later in the morning we went to see more horses locally, and then on to The Elms to see the squad members who are on their summer holidays there. All of the team at The Elms look fantastic. The three girls, Molly Childers, Maria's Benefit and Queenohearts are all out together - a battle of will between QOH and MC - MB just watches on! MC and MB will return to Fences Farm next week - QOH will remain at The Elms for another couple of weeks - it looks as though she needs softer ground, so no point in havung her in early. The boys all look in fine order too - Wolf Of Windlesham has really benefitted from his first proper break, and will remian out until late summer, Pull Together has really matured, and will be back to Fences Farm in a couple of weeks - he is a lot to look forward to, his owners have had to be patient with him! The two youngsters out there have also done well - both have grown into fine young men. Sumu - the 2 yr old by Mamool, could come in in the autumn to do a bit more as he could well make a juvenile hurdler next summer. Franc Roc will come back to Stuarts in the spring to do his 'secondary school'. Shares in KALOCI are being snapped up very quickly - another 5 shares were taken over the weekend, so we are down to the last few. She is due to arrive at Fences Farm on Wednesday - and the plan is to parade her in front of her new/prospective new owners on Sunday. Remember she is just £25/week (£110/month), with all the benfits of sole ownership - including badges, stable visits to suit you, and prizemoney share - what more could you want?? KAlOCI has already proven herself, finishing third on only her second start. I have been told there is plenty of improvement to come from her - she is a tough genuine sound filly, that will excel over the winter months over a longer trip, and on softer ground. She has already schooled really well over hurdles so she is ready to rock and roll. She will have a short break when she gets to Stuarts, but will be back on the go in no time! She is really exciting - and an opportunity not to be missed!! nickbrownracing@gmail to book yourself a visit on Sunday morning, or alternatively 07909 518902.
