Sunday 30 July

A good fun morning at Fences Farm yesterday. Second lot we had Alison and Connor in, along with Olly and Gary. They got to see Cloonacool and Land League do a lovely piece of quicker work, with Kayla in behind also going very well. Stuart rode Land League, and as you can see from the clip, he was going so well, he found the time to give a wave to the camera as they came past! Both Cloonacool and Land League will head off to Bourton On The Water on Tuesday morning for Ben Brain to have a look at their wind. They will both have overland scopes, and we will be advised about what procedures are necessary after Ben has seen the results. Cloonacool is in fine form, and is likely to have some remedial procedure on his soft palate at least - which will hopefully help him finish his races in the future. Classic Ben is looking great, and everyone that riders him saying how nice he is, he will be cantering very soon, and I am sure he has a cracking future ahead of him. Sneaking Budge is being his usual loopy self - he just isn't normal. He is walking at the moment and will start to do a bit more trotting next week. Molly Childers is also in great form, and will be cantering shortly. Pull Together, who cut his leg the day before he was due back to Fences Farm, is still at The Elms and will have his stitches out on Monday. He will go on the walker for a while at The Elms before heading back to Fences Farm. Maria's Benefit is also in great heart and will be cantering very soon. Top Gary, and Kingsley the two bosom buddy 4 year olds are walking away and looking well. The mares Queenohearts, Chandos Belle and Kaloci will be back in their stables next week, and we will then be up to speed with it all (Pull Together allowing).
