Sunday 20 August
A sign of how the Stuart Edmunds training empire is expanding is the fact that he had 5 lots out yesterday - either that - or he is short of staff!! First two lots were split into 2 lots doing 2 canters. First Lot - Legal OK, who is really chilled out at the moment, Reyno, Blackbird, Molly Childers and Theclockisticking all went nicely. Second lot, Charmagne, Clasic Ben,Maria's Benefit and Clondaw Native all looked really good as well.
It was good to see Olly, along with Gary and his young son Archie. The last time we saw Archie he was a matter of weeks old - we were all surprised he couldn't remember his first visit - it was his Birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday Archie!
Third lot saw the faster work! Land League, again sporting a tongue tie put in a fabulous shift upsides Cloonacool. LL had been kicking and bucking around the walker for half an hour before he went out - he is on fantastic terms with himself!
Also out third lot were Kalloci, Grey Warbler and Pull Together who all went for a trot around the farm. Kaloci is also in fine fettle, she would still be carrying a fair bit of fitness from before her break, and was kicking and bucking on her way around the farm - she could well be cantering before too long!
Fourth Lot were all steady canters - Sneaking Budge, Now McGinty, Kingsley, Top Garry and Ted Thistle - these are all coming on really well!
Fifth Lot, Sumu, Chandos Belle, Queenohearts and Pine Warbler all went for a walk and a trot.
Everything is coming together nicely. Kayla went to Market Rasen yesterday evening, and was beaten into 6th. the track is a sharp one and would not have suited. She is also plenty high enough in the weights, and help form the handicapper is needed. She has been in fine form at home, and a return to Uttoxeter for her next run will suit far better. She seems fine this morning.
