Good Golly!! Miss Molly! Molly missed the winners circle by a very rapidly diminishing short head and a neck yesterday in the concluding race on Worcesters bumper 8 race card. The decision was made to ride her much more positively, and she travelled and jumped great for Ciaran, she was outpaced on the home turn, but as usual, showed just how resolute and tough she is to rally from fifth, to a very fast finishing third on the line. She came home with a real rattle after the last - in another 50 yards she would have been the winner!! She ran very well, and we will seek a stiffer test over two miles for her next time - with Towcester in late November looking a favourable option. She is a lovely mare and there are some good days to be had with her in the future! I think the first five home in yesterdays heat are all worth keeping an eye on for sure! It was a busy day for the yard - kicked off by Kayla - another wonderfully consistent mare who was beaten just 11 lengths in a competitive chase in the opener. She is a tiny wee thing, but tries her heart out and Brendan gave her a great spin - a little more help from the handicapper and she will be hitting the mark again! Ted Thistle made his hurdling/yard debut in the novices hurdle, and ran very well to finish fifth. he was a bit green, and in need of the run, so plenty for his new owners - The Prickly Partnership to look forward to! A stud visit today - and then more trawling through the 1750 horses catatlogued to be sold in Newmarket next week! We seek more fresh blood! New syndicates will be available - please get in touch if you would like to join in the fun! 07909 518902. Queenohearts and Kaloci are still on course for Aintree on Sunday. Their ground has dried up a fraction to Good Tom Soft, which is fine for both - but they have had their rain now, so we do not want it to dry up any further. Kaloci has an entry in Fakenham next Wednesday as yet anither back up - Chandos Belle also entered there - Cloonacool entered in Taunton on the same day! All running well - thanks to Stuart and his team - good days!!
