Saturday 10 February
Sneaking Budge heads to Warwick this afternoon. he runs in a decent looking handicap hurdle, but is in good form at hoem, and likes soft ground. He will wear cheekpieces for the first time today. Pleased to report that all four of Thursdays runners have come out of their races well. Pull Together will continue over hurdles this season, but has the makings of a lovely chaser after a summer break. Theclockisticking is reported to have got stuck in the soft ground in his bid to land the Listed Sidney Banks Memorial Hurdle. Blackbird will improve from her debut, and Clondaw Native ran a cracker to be a close third in Doncaster - qualifying for the final of the series without damaging bis mark. Next week, Molly Childers is entered in Towcester on Wednesday, but the ground there is very deep at the moment, and she will not be pulled about on that ground. Stuart and I will discuss alternative options later today - she could go straight to Doncaster in early March, or may have an entry in Ascot next weekend. The great news is that Apasionado is nearly ready to return, and if the handicapper does what he should and drops him a few pounds - he will have an entry in Market Rasen next Sunday, along with Chandos Belle who will have another go in a handicap hurdle, away from very deep ground. Kaloci is still on course to run in Plumpton on Monday, it will be tough as she will have top weight, in deep ground, but she is very tough, and is in against her own sex, so it is worth a try.
