Lion Rouge bypasses his engagements this weekend in Bangor and Market Rasen and instead travels to Huntingdon on Tuesday evening. He is in great heart at home and his homework continues to improve. We are starting off over 2 miles, but we will learn a lot about his optimum trip on Tuesday - and we are looking forward to getting going with him. It is the Doncaster sales next week, and we will be up there inspecting all of the horses that we have earmarked in the catalogues. There are plenty of unraced 3 yr olds to be interested in on the first day, and a few form horses on days 2 and 3 - we are also well along the line in a new purchase out of the Irish point To Point field, so we should definitely be adding to the squad over the next few days.
