I always look forward to seeing the statistical tables published at the end of the jumps season in the Racing Post. These league tables can tell so many stories, and it was great to see Mrs Robeson at 54 - her highest ever placing. The team at Fences Farm had a season to remember, with their greatest number of winners and their highest prize-money total. If you look a bit further into the figures it will tell you that there is no one above Mrs Robeson in the list that had fewer runners,(apart from an odd Irish raider), a fantastic achievement, and we hope it carries on through the new season. There will be a good team for next year so hopefully it will. E Major goes tonight at Huntingdon in a 2 mile handicap. Apart from the favourite (a recent easy winner) it looks like a good opportunity and we are looking forward to a good run - he is very fit and well! Let's hope we start the season with a win and not another bloody second - we certainly had our fair share of those during 08/09! Bobby Gee is out enjoying the sunshine - it was a pleasure to turn him away sound and healthy and I can't wait to get him back and going over fences. Kikos continues to thrive, and will be out again later this month. The vet has been and had a look at Mattaking and is very pleased with his progress, he looks to be well on the road to recovery - and Important Business is responding very well to treatment and his time on the sidelines may well be shorter than expected. There could well be some new horses added to the roster in the near future, so watch this space.
