This morning Bobby Gee has been declared for the £60,000 Totesport Classic Chase. He is in grand form, and Leighton Aspell who was in yesterday morning to school him, takes the ride. 48 hour decs are all very well, but they do mean an extra 24 hours of nerves!! But all in all it is very exciting to have a fancied horse in such a big handicap, and we are all very much looking forward to Saturday! With only a splash of further rain forecast, and the ground on the hurdles track currently soft, heavy in places I think that Grey Bobby will also make his debut in the bumper. At the moment we are not sure about a jockey, but as he is not declared until tomorrow we do have the extra day to find a suitable candidate. Omaruru continues in great form, Kikos will be back to Fences Farm in a couple of weeks, but Important Business will remain at Michael and Fiona Kehoes until early March, to give his injury a little longer to heal. The vet is very happy with him, and thinks that he will be spot on in 6-7 weeks, he will be on the walker in the mean time, so his pre training will be done when he arrives back, so in effect no time will be lost!
