San Telm, who, after being scoped yesterday, was given the all clear to stride on in his work, went very very well this morning! His form took another huge boost at the weekend, and it is looking like he is on a very satisfactory mark! All we need is for the weather to remain changeable so that he gets his favoured softer conditions! Tannerman and Benefit Cut strode on together this morning - T has entries in 3 places on Saturday and Sunday, and after a close look at things last night it would appear that his best option is Chepstow on Saturday, but we will have to keep a close eye on the weather as they are due some rain before Saturday! Benefit Cut looks likely to head to Market Rasen on Saturday, although he will have entries going forward as well. Movers and shakers in the handicap ratings this morning are: Ogee -1 (135), which at least means he will now get in 0-135's, The Fonz -5 (115) he can win off of this mark in lesser company than he faced on Saturday. Smart Exit -2 (103), heads to Fontwell later this month. Grassfinch +6 (124), she will go to Towcester for a 3m mares race that looks tailor made for her later this month. Almost a shame that she didn't go up another pound, as she would then qualify as an elite mare, which leads to some very nice concessions when it comes to her broodmare career. Never happy are we?! Tannerman by the way remains on 96 despite non of the form of his previous race warranting him being raised the 1lb. Yesterday the winner of the Doncaster race was beaten in Southwell!
