It was a wet welcome to Fences Farm yesterday, for Dave Page and his wife Claire, who came to have a look around at the facilities and discuss ownership. They did get to see a large group out after breakfast, that included Dawn Commander, San Tel , Cloonacool and Benefit Cut. They all look if fantastic order, and are now doing 2 canters per day, so their fitness is building all the time. San Telm is in great terms with himself - and Cloonacool continues to get highly praised by all that sit on him. Ereyna was also out having a gentle canter, and will be entered in Fontwell on September 7th. Mr Maynard has recovered well from his op, and he is not a million miles off of a run either. Smart Exit has also started to have a gentle canter - due to hi liking for a softer surface, he didn't come into the yard with the others, and spent an extra few weeks on holiday. He is a slow maturing horse, who looks to have matured again over the summer. I do have a couple of shares for sale in Smart Exit if anyone is interested. He is a real old fashioned staying chaser, that is ultra consistent. He will always run his race, and give his new owners lots of fun - especially around his favourite track Towcester!
