Friday 13 February

Brett The Vet was in this morning doing his rounds - he looked at a couple and scoped a few. The best news is that Benefit Cut scoped immaculately - which is rare, and now we have to wait for the results of blood tests later to confirm that he can get back on track - fingers crossed these are all ok! Smart Exit was also clean, and is free to do some harder graft now - and we can start to look for races for him. Also given the green light was San Telm - so they both appear to be over their sniffles. One that wasn't clean was Maypole Lass, but this isn't uncommon for her, she will have a few days antibiotics to clear her up, and she will be free to have a spin on the flat hopefully. Unfortunately she will only be able to canter past her owner tomorrow, but she will not be held up for long. Also given the green light to crack on was Native Princess, although she looks like having to have her joint medicated over the course of the next few weeks - a routine procedure that many if them have - it's just like taking the oil can to her! In other news - we have had a bid accepted on a new horse in Ireland - subject to passing the vet early next week. He is very well bred, and will be suited to the summer jumps season over here. I know many of you have asked if we are going to get a summer jumper this year - and I think that this bot fits the bill 100%. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining in with our very successful team. 4 winners from 8 runners this season, with the other 4 finishing 2nd, 3rd (twice) and 5th - you can see we give great value for money - and get you into the winners circle very frequently. The added bonus is that you get to go jumps racing through the summer with the sun on your back, and a cold one in your hand! info@nickbrownracing.co.uk - or 07909 518902 for more details! Costs will be £650/share + £25/week all inclusive training fees.
