Friday 22 July
A great day yesterday - a busy morning, all syndicate work - 2 more registrations underway, which should all be sorted very soon. Off to Fences Farm at midday, to meet Paul. Paul has a share in the Flemensfirth 3 yr old, and Pull Together. PT looks great, he has filled out a strengthened over the summer, and is a fine big horse. Placed in his inly Point to Point in Ireland he looks a smashing prospect. Reyno, Bold Conquest and Pull Together have all started cantering and will be ready to run in September. It was good to see Sneaking Budge getting shod - a new set of Nikes and he is back to work!! He can be seen in the rear of the photo with Bold Conquest in the foreground also getting some new boots! All the horses look fantastic, and all have summered really well! After a look around the yard Paul Stuart and I nipped over to Jamie Goss' pre training yard to see the Kalanisi 3 yr old that was purchased for Paul at the Tattersalls Derby Sale. Jamie backed him a week ago, and yesterday he had his first canter past us. He look great, and will remain with Jamie for another week before heading out for a well earned rest at The Elms Stud. While on the way out to Jamies we arranged to meet to new men to Fences Farm on Monday. Both have been syndicate members elsewhere before, and are keen to get involved again. Then yesterday evening The Flemensfirth filly gained herself another owner - we wish Chris the very best of luck with his new horse. People are seeing what a fantastic prospect this filly is - and there are no training fees to pay until October!! Have a look at her on the For Sale Page!!
