Tuesday 22 November

Molly Childers will bypass Wetherby. Their ground - although soft, is waterlogged in patches, and there is a danger that their already full drainage dykes will overflow if there is any more run off, or rain. Molly is working very well at home, and we were told by her breeder/trainer when we purchased her, that she would appreciate a bit better ground than the soft she ran on in her second point to point. So we have to be patient with her - she will be worth waiting for! The long range forecast gives a dry and settled spell for the country from lunchtime today, so options will become available. She has an entry in Doncaster on Friday, which after yesterdays downpours has become Heavy - but it does drain really well there, and so we will keep that option open for a little while longer. She will not have an entry in Ludlow next week, as their ground looked very testing yesterday, but will have an entry in an all weather bumper in Lingfield next Tuesday. Pull Together went quicker for the first time in a while on Saturday and did it well. Hopefully he will get to go in 3 weeks or so. He has been held up by niggly little problems that young horses get, but will hopefully have a clear run now. Cloonacool will be scoped and blood tested on Monday to make sure that he is back on song. He is giving all the signals that he is A1 again - but it is best to make sure. When he has the all clear from the vet we can start to look at races for him - be that either over hurdles or fences. Apasionado is in fine fettle - Stuart rode him yesterday and struggled to hold him!! His plans remain Sandown or Ascot. Sneaking Budge is back in work after a brief spell recovering from a torn muscle. Top Garry - The Kalanisi, and The Flemensfirth 3 yr olds are all cantering and going nicely - they look like 3 really nice youngsters. Chandos Belle heads to the delights of Wolverhampton tomorrow - just a couple of shares remain in her - and the same applies to her as applied to Apasionado - If she wins, her share price will rise by £750, if she is placed it will rise by £300, so if you are interested in joining in with her, then get in touch today!! nickbrownracing@gmail.com I am trying very hard to find a replacement for Bold Conquest - but that is proving to be very tough! Please will all of his owners, if you have not already done so, cancel your payments for him. When I get a replacement I will be in touch, and you are free to restart if you wish.
