Thursday 9 March

A sunny and mild morning at Fences Farm - good to see John Horgan in to see his horse Apasionado. Ap is in great form, and although he has been taken out of the Supreme Hurdle, he will be declared for The County Hurdle, although he is very unlikely to get a run. He is more likely to go to Kempton on Saturday the 18th. Land League led second lot in 2 canters and has come out of his race last Sunday in fine form. he bounces out of his races, and when we see what the handicapper thinks of him on Tuesday, we can start to make a plan. He is a super horse, and there are shares available!! nickbrownracing@gmail.com. Also out second lot, and looking in great shape was Cloonacool. He looks really well, and it will not be long before he is out again. Top Gary did two canters and looked great too. First lot Molly Childers sported some cheekpieces for the first time, and she went well in them. She seems to be getting better and better at home, and hopefully the application of headgear on Saturday will see her at her best - she is by no means a back number, even though it is a Listed Bumper. On the theme of headgear, third lot we saw Domesday Book school. DB looks like being Stuarts only runner at The Festival in the Fulke Walwyn, Kim Kuir handicap chase. He schooled this morning in blinkers and did it really well. He looks in tip top shape, and he could surprise a few a week today!! New boy, Now McGinty was down the jumos field fourth lot, and we saw him school over a variety of obstacles, including up three flights of hurdles a few times. He hasn't done much schooling, but is coming on now, and this full brother to Outlander is an exciting prospect!! Maria's Benefit has an entry in Huntingdon next wednesday.
