I popped over to Fences Farm earlier this morning to see new boy Theclockisticking, who arrived from Ireland early yesterday morning. This is a suoerb addition to Stuarts squad - he is a good looking, athletic son of Gamut, who's dam is a full sister to The Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised no less!! He has run in two Irish Point To Points, finishing third on his first educational outing before finishing second on his next start. On that occasion he was beaten 5 lengths (carrying 5lbs more) by Royal Rendezvous, a highly regarded son of Kings Theatre who went on to sell for £130,000 at the Goffs UK Sale during Aintree's Grand National meeting. TCIT is the second promising horse to arrive at Fences Farm this spring, after Clondaw Native arrived earlier this month. Clondaw Native was a winner of his only Irish Point To Point, and was sold within 3 days of his arrival, so if you are interested in having a horse with Stuart at Fences Farm, then please do not hesitate - have a look at him on the For Sale Page, and get in touch quickly. Below is a video of Theclockisticking cantering this morning.
Also out first lot was Tricky Silence who did two canters under Stuart. He looks on great terms with himself, and is moving really well. He will soon be back on track!! He can be seen cantering below (far side).
After a cup of tea, I jumoed in the lorry with Stuart as he took Wolf Of Windlesham off to his summer holidays at The Elms Stud. He has joined Pull Together, Franc Roc, Sumu and one other. They settled in well. Pull Together looks fantastic, and I can't wait to get him back in and under way again - the form of his Irish Point to Point is rock solid, and although he has been around for 12 months, he has not run, and he will also be like a new signing! We also went and had a look at the three girls - Molly Childers, Queenohearts, and Maria's Benefit. They could d with the weather warming up a bit, but all three are doing fine! It was good to see them - three nice mares!
