Tricky Silence is in fine fettle, and has been entered in the 0-100 2m 7f handicap hurdle in Uttoxeter on Saturday. Hopefully he will get the good ground that he needs, and will run well on his handicap debut. It is always to good to be ahead of the game, and in this job, that entails identifying talent before anyone else, and the results of yesterdays 4 and 5 year old maidens in Ireland over the weekend have provided some very welcome form boosts for two of the three new horses that we have purchased this spring. Clondaw Native, a winner of his only start in an Irish Point To Point was paid a compliment when the fourth horse that day (beaten 16 lengths), won yesterday. Our latest purchase, who arrives later this week received 2 very nice updates. He is a horse that has improved on each of his four starts this spring, and was bang in contention when falling on his final start last weekend. His third start was a very good maiden, and it was a very good performance to finish 5th. The winner was sold for £140,000 and the second for £50,000 at the recent Cheltenham Sales. It was great to see both the 4th and the 6th win their maidens this weekend, so it looks as though we have nipped in and secured a nice one at very reasonable money - which already looks like very good value for money! Details of this very nice prospect will appear on her when he has arrived in a day or two, but I can reveal that he is by a Champion Sire and will be available as a whole or in shares.
