What a day Sunday was!! Stuarts debut Owners Day was a terrific success - a yard full of Owners, Syndicate Members and guests all enjoyed a fantastic afternoon at Fences Farm, where Stuart and his staff paraded nearly 30 horses. I have to say that all of the horses looked in the most amazing condition - they were turned out superbly, their coats gleaming in the afternoon sun (when it came out)! After the parade, everyone tucked into drinks and a buffet provided, and got to wander around the yards at their leisure and meet all the horses and the team. There has been terrific feedback from those that were there - all saying how much they enjoyed the experience, and the chance to meet up with each other. The whole day was a success, a number of shares were taken up in our various Partnerships, and a new owner joined the ranks - Neil, who was actually in to see Classic Ben who he had agreed to purchase a share in the week before, liked the look of the 2 yr old Sumu so much that he decided he would buy him on the spot! We wish him the very best of luck with his new horses! We would also like to wish Nick the best of luck with his new horse - nick, who's parents have a share in both Chandos Belle and Apasionado has taken a share in Classic Ben, and also to James, who has joined his parents in the ownership ranks and taken a share in Kaloci! I would like to take the chance to thank Stuart and his staff for all the hard work they put into the day. A lot of sweeping, raking cleaning, and grooming went into getting the yard and the horses looking so good. On behalf of all our syndicate members and owners we thank you for your efforts! (I know they read this)!! The success of the day means that there are very few shares remaining in any of the horses now (Classic Ben,2 - Kaloici 3, Chandos Belle 1) so be quick of you would like to join in the fun at Fences Farm. The star of the show was undoubtedly Cheltenham Festival winner Domesday Book, who was the star turn at the conclusion of the parade. He came out of the field, where he is recuperating from the injury he picked up in March, and still looked amazing - it was kind of his owner Jim Humberstone to bring the trophy for all to see!! Back to the day to day stuff, and Cloonacool, who has been suffering with a heavy cold for the past few days, scoped clean (95%) this morning, and has been given the go ahead to quicken up this week. This gives him a chance of making his favourite race in Market Rasen on the 30th. He will stride on tomorrow to 3/4 pace, and do a proper piece of work on Saturday. After that Stuart will know if he can take his chance. Land League is on track for an entry there, and Molly Childers is an intended runner in the mares novice hurdle.
