Two runners yesterday for Stuart and the team. Clondaw Native made his second hurdle start in Huntingdon. He took high rank in the betting, and ran a cracking race to be second, beaten just 3/4 length by a really nice horse from the Kim Bailey yard. CN has a really nice future, and is a horse that everyone likes at the yard. He has the size and scope to make a smashing chaser, but should be able to pick up a race or two over hurdles this year. Stuart then hopped in the car and shot down to Ascot, where Paul wells' Kingsley made his second racecourse appearence in their concluding bumper. Ciaran also made the trip from Huntigndon to ride him, after partnering another Clondaw - Clondaw Castle for his Guvnor Tom George in Huntingdons Maiden Hurdle. Kingsley travelled away fine for a mole and a half, but when the taps were turned on he couldn't go with them. He is a big backward horse, with a smashing outlook on life and he will be found another job in life - one that he will find a little easier. Earlier in the morning it was good to see John and Danny at Fences Farm. John has a share in Classic Ben and Apasionado, and Danny has joined him in the Fences Farm ownership ranks by taking a share in Kaloci. We wish him luck with her - it was really good to see her and Chandos Belle canter yesterday, as they had both been suffering the effects of their races in Fakenham last time out. Classic Ben had worked really well first lot, and we will look at the programme book for him and identify a few target races - I will let everyione know where and when they are tomorrow. Cloonacool worked yesterday, and looks really well. he has got very clever in his old age, and he doesn't do a huge amount at home. He is very much on track for Huntingdon on December 10th. Pull Together was the eyecatcher second lot. He worked great in behind Maria's Benefit, and will hopefully get to run in Towcester on Thursday! Maria was as good as ever and Ludlow on December 6th remains her target. Sneaking Budge seems to be still in 1 piece after his run, but we all know what he is like, and it is day by day with him - he is sure to find a way of damaging himself or someone else in the near future! Hillcrest Fire is still full of beans after her run, and is very much on course for Aintree in December. We are waiting to see what the handicapper does with Molly Childers before deciding on her next race. All in all Fences Farm are in fantastic form - and long may it continue!!
