I have recently returned from a short spell in San Francisco, where a few of us travelled for the Rugby Sevens World Cup. A superb few days, in a great city, at a supremely good tournament, where England managed to reach the final. We made some great memories, and forgot a few as well, as well as meeting great folks on the way! There are a number of sevens tournaments throughout the summer in the UK, and if you can get to one I would highly recommend it! Before I went we had an awful afternoon in Uttoxeter, where Lion Rouge sadly lost his life when falling at the second last when in with every chance of his debut win. LR was a smashing little horse, who was a real trier, and he will be sadly missed by everyone at Fences Farm. The few days away, and two very long plane trips gave me the chance to think about the future, and I have settled on plans for the future. Lion Rouge will not be replaced. We have several horses under the NBR banner - Land League, Kaloci, Kaloci's half sister who is yet to be named, and Figarella Borget - 3 3 yr old 3/4 sister to Sprinter Sacre. Land League and Kaloci are both sold out, but there are very limited shares available in both of the latter fillys and they offer very exciting opportunities. While away it was good to see Go Millie Go's form take a very welcome boost, when the mare that won her last start in Irish Points won her bumper in Worcester. Go Millie Go is by Milan out of a half sister to Time For Rupert, so she now has the form to go with her superb pedigree. There are a couple of shares left in this mare as well, if anyone would like to be involved in a smaller syndicate.
