Wednesday 4 December

Classic Ben is entered in The London National in Sandown on Saturday. This race has been the plan since his superb win in the Masters Chase at the same venue in February. CB seems in great form, and has been installed as the 11/2 antepost favourite - so there are a few out there that think the plan is the right one - lets hope Ben gets the memo! Before that, we are off to Leicester tomorrow, where Land League runs in their 3.05. He is dropping back to 2m, which on the face of it looks a bit odd - but we know he doesn't stay 3m, and has not competed over the minimum trip since he his latest (successful) wind op. There were valid reasons not to take up his other options, and Ludlow was off anyway today, so this is where we go. The stiff track should suit, and it is good to have Josh Moore back in our colours. After this run he will have a short mid winter break. Molly Childers has had her breathing tinkered with, and has not missed a beat - she is still on course to run in Hereford later this month. Figarella Borget is back cantering and moving well. Getaway Mixie will head to The Elms later this week, to recuperate from her latest minor setback - a decision on her future will be made in the next few days. Go Millie Go is in fine fettle, and is in course for her run on the 18th. Yauthym is schooling well over poles and barrels, and is enjoying her time on a new gallop. She will head into Fergals next week - and we are all looking forward to getting going with her. She has been going very nicely, and looks a lovely filly to go to war with. Due to unforseen circumstances there is a share available in her - please have a look at her on the For Sale Page - your chance to get a share in a half sister to a Cheltenham Festival winner! Just in time for Christmas! Blue Bikini continues to impress, and she parades in front of a good group of her owners on Sunday. An update on our youngsters - 'Dean' the Doyen colt foal out of Savingforvegas is now developing really well - I had considered sending him to the sales next month, but have had a rethink, and he will now be retained, and a decision on if he is sent to the sales, or syndicated, will be made when he is 3 yrs old. The Mamool yearling that was purchased in February is another that has thrived at The Elms, and he looks the type to be a 3 yr old bumper horse. He will be broken and backed in the spring, and will be syndicated as a 3 yr old. We purchased the most gorgeous yearling filly by Camelot in October in Ireland - and she has also done very well since arriving in the UK. She is a full sister to Gardens Of Babylon, one of last seasons top juvenile hurdlers, and will be sold or syndicated as a 3 yr old as well - she is a stunner! Lets hope for a good couple of days!!
